Work Experience

KPM Power (Mechanical Engineer, May 2024 - August 2025)
I had the wonderful opportunity to work as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at KPM Powers, a BMS manufacturing company.
During my time there, I worked in a team of three engineers to analyze technical drawings, develop BOMs, and build prototypes for assembly line processes, ensuring accurate resource planning and efficient workflows.
I learned and applied LEAN principles to optimize production, reduce waste, and improve assembly line productivity.
I also operated automatic and semi-automatic machines (e.g., strip, crimp, wire cutting) to document settings, simulate production, and create operator instructions for consistent assembly.
In addition, I designed and built quality control tools, such as test boards for electrical and continuity testing, as well as custom measurement tools. These efforts resulted in a 15% reduction in failure rates and enhanced overall product quality.

HandiFuel (Lead Mechanical Design Engineer, May 2023 - August 2023)
During my time in university, I was employed as a mechanical design engineer for a startup called Handi-Fuel. In this role, I demonstrated exceptional managerial and technical skills as I oversaw the design and construction of a cutting-edge robotic arm. This innovative project aimed to facilitate vehicle refueling for individuals with physical disabilities.
From the outset, I set clear project objectives and effectively managed potential risks. Throughout the assembly process, I utilized strong problem-solving abilities to address various mechanical challenges that arose, ensuring the successful execution of the project.
As a key contributor to the project, I leveraged my expertise in Solidworks to design and prototype 3D models of the robotic arm. To guarantee its robustness, I conducted rigorous simulations to stress test the design and identify potential points of failure. In collaboration with 3D printing services, I optimized the models to achieve maximum efficiency.
Moreover, I implemented a personal mechanism that significantly enhanced the arm's performance, boosting fueling speed by an impressive 5%. This achievement not only showcased my technical prowess but also highlighted my dedication to continuous improvement and innovation.

YURS: Rover Team (Senior Mechanical Team Member, Oct 2023 - August 2024)
I was an elected senior member at the York University Robotics Society (YURS) for the rover team. My role was to mentor new and junior members, and take ownership of larger or specific tasks relevant to the mechanical team and other sub teams. I assisted the leads/execs in hosting workshops, work on complicated technical tasks such as machining, and mentor individuals to help them develop both technical skills and soft skills.

Senior Staff Tutor (Kumon Math and Reading Co., January 2015 - Present)
I anticipate customer needs and provide parents with high quality service by answering inquiries and confirming relevant customer information. Additionally, I operate the content management system (CMS) to onboard students and arrange appointments, whilst providing personalized help to parents. In addition, I manage a classroom of 80+ students and collaborate with other employees to teach students math and reading until they have a proficient understanding of concepts, while also providing additional support to students who have special needs. My position within Kumon has also allowed me leverage my strong organization skills to schedule and coordinate in person and virtual classes using Excel for over 100 students per shift.
