Dynamic Lighting System

Constructed an ambient lighting system using a photodiode, a camera, and a microphone. Entire system was connected to a Data Acquisition System (DAQ) to connect to and program with via Labview. DAQ took measurements received from photodiode, camera, and microphone to perform actions such as automatically dimming lights, activating lights when a body was present in the room, and to arm and disarm the system when sound was detected. System simulated a reduction in electricity used for lighting by 10%.
